About the Role
The Curator of Events oversees the (re)imagination, coordination and management of events organized, attended, or participated in by Emergence. In these events, the focus is to enhance the visibility of Emergence and the collaborations with and also within the team. The aim is to comprehensively showcase the vision, mission and projects of Emergence. and correctly translate a clear and complete representation of Emergence at an event.
What does this role entail?
Event Management: Proficiently organize Platform and `New Media project presentations, ensuring smooth logistics and seamless execution of events.
Logistics Coordination: Effectively manage all prior event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, equipment setup, and resource coordination.
Time Management: Possess excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and effectively coordinate multiple tasks related to event organization and preparation.
Creativity and Innovation: Ability to bring creative and innovative elements to events, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for attendees.
Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with team members, project participants, and event stakeholders.
Adaptability: Adapt to changing event requirements and circumstances, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful event outcomes.
Stress Management: Maintain composure and effectively manage stress in high-pressure event situations to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
Professionalism: Represent Emergence with professionalism and uphold the organization's values during event organization, preparation, and execution.
Event Management: Experience with the organization of events. Ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute events that align with the organization's objectives and values.
Stakeholder Management: Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, including partners, team members, collaborators, sponsors, and participants.
Structured Planning: Strong organizational and planning skills
Crisis Management: Proven ability to handle unexpected challenges and crises during events, maintaining a calm and solution-oriented approach.
